Cafe Vinh Long's menu has been updated to include descriptions of some of the menu items, including ingredients of each. Please note that the menu does not, nor will it ever, include the daily specials served on weekends.

Although Cafe Vinh Long doesn't serve a lot of desserts at their restaurant, Vietnamese food includes a wide range of sweets. One of our favorite recipe is this simple bánh lưỡi mèo recipe.
Bánh lưỡi mèo means cat tongue - but don't worry, it's completely vegetarian! It is only called so because the cookie has a vague resemblance to the shape of a tongue.
We just spotted some beautiful banh mi illustrations by lucileskitchen over at etsy. If you can't get the actual sandwich or hoagie, this drawing of it must be the next best thing. It even displays listings of various ingredients. Just looking at the image makes us a little hungry!
Although Cafe Vinh Long doesn't use many of those specific ingredients, this might make a good Christmas gift for the restaurant, wouldn't you say?
